WHAT TO BRING ALONG ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY OF YOUR SURGERY
Please arrange for someone to accompany you home as you may feel weak after surgery. Our practice is to dispose of your tooth according to MOH regulations in the biohazard bin, so if you really want to keep your tooth, please let us know before your surgery
- Bring your IC.
- Bring along your Singpass and your CPF statement.
- If you are claiming from your family member's medisave, account holder must be present with his/her IC and Singpass.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY OF YOUR SURGERY
- Fill up the Confidential Medical Questionnaire so that we have your medical history and will be able to suggest a more comprehensive treatment plan and medication.*
- Go to the X-ray room for your first X-ray.
- Take the pre-operation medication.
- Sign the consent form.
- Wait for 15-30 mins for the medication to be effective.
- Anesthesia will be administered, and depending on the option (Local or General) chosen, the time it takes for it to take effect differs.
- Wait for the anesthesia to take effect.
- Wisdom tooth surgery takes place.
- Head back into the X-ray room for your second X-ray as a second check that all tooth fragments are removed.
- Ensure that there is no bleeding.
